Ability West is delighted to announce the opening of a brand-new complex of services in Garraí na Sailí, Letteragh Road, Galway (eircode H91 308C).
This state-of-the-art development includes:
A beautifully designed 4-bedroom bungalow built to the highest standards, complete with ceiling hoists, large accessible wet rooms, and wide corridors for ease of movement.
Modern apartments, fully finished and furnished, where individuals will receive one-to-one support.
A brand-new Day Service, due to open in the coming weeks, which will provide further opportunities for growth, independence, and community engagement.
We are now recruiting a passionate and committed team to help individuals transition into these services and support them to live their best lives.
Current Vacancies
We are seeking Nurses, Social Care Workers/Team Leads, and Care Assistants.
Nurses – As a nurse in our new service, you will play a central role in ensuring the highest standards of care and support. You will provide person-centred nursing care while guiding and mentoring colleagues to deliver best practice. Drawing on your professional training and registration (R.N.I.D., R.G.N. or R.P.N.), you will support individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and complex needs to live with dignity, independence, and respect.
Your experience in areas such as autism, behaviours that challenge, and sensory processing needs will enable you to bring specialist insight to the team. Most importantly, you will be an advocate for the people you support, ensuring their health, well-being, and personal goals are always at the heart of what we do.
Social Care Workers / Team Leads – As a key worker for the individuals you support, you will play a vital role within the team and be encouraged to supervise and lead in the absence of the Person in Charge. You will have the ability to create person-centred plans that empower those you support to live their best lives.
Care Assistants – This role is essential in supporting the well-being of individuals in your service, helping them to build self-esteem and celebrate their uniqueness. You will work alongside the staff team to foster the development of positive interpersonal relationships throughout the service.

You are committed to making a difference and passionate about improving quality of life. You bring strong communication and problem-solving skills, and can work both independently and as part of a team. A full driving licence is required.
