BECOME A CORPORATE PARTNER with Us — Make a Difference in intellectual disabilities in galway!
At Ability West, we support over 500 children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism across more than 70 centres in Galway City and County. Our services are primarily funded by the HSE, but it’s through the generosity of our community — individuals, businesses, and corporate partners — that we can go beyond the basics and make a real difference in the lives of those we support.
We’re inviting local and national businesses to join us as corporate sponsors or fundraising partners. Whether your organisation has a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme or simply wants to make a meaningful local impact, your support can help us enhance our services, improve facilities, and create new opportunities for people with disabilities.
BECOME A CORPORATE SPONSOR!
There are several ways to get involved:
Sponsor an upcoming event — for example, our Fashion Show on 26th November at the Clayton Hotel.
Host a workplace fundraiser — from coffee mornings to team challenges, every effort helps.
Partner with us long-term — through annual sponsorships, payroll giving, or collaborative CSR projects.

Sensory Rooms
Upgrading and re-decorating our sensory rooms in our residential, day or respite units is an ongoing requirement. Sensory rooms provide a quiet space for children and adults with disabilities and special sensory needs. It allows a time alone to be calm time in a room that appeals to the senses. This relates to touch, smell, sound, taste and sight. This senses are ignited or calmed in these sensory equipped rooms. Sensory equipment is costly and so your donation can support the upkeep of items or entire rooms.

Metlife TEAM RECENTLY transformed an outside area of one of our services
Metlife* who are an insurance company based in Ireland, recently visited one of our Services in Dunmore, outside Tuam. They arrived early on a September morning, armed with different colours of paint and a team of 10 staff and transformed an outside sitting area for the persons we supported. We are really grateful to the Metlife Team for carrying out this work.
*MetLife companies offer life, accident and health insurance, retirement and savings products through agents, third-party distributors such as banks and brokers, and direct marketing channels..

OUR CURRENT FUNDRAISER
Our very own Claire Bailey from the Ability West Physiotherapy Team is taking on an amazing challenge this November — running and walking 100 kilometres to raise funds to purchase new treadmills for our Portumna Services.
Every step Claire takes brings us closer to supporting the people we work with every day.
Please support Claire’s fundraiser in any way you can — every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference!
