@GalwayGolfClub held their annual golf fundraising event on Saturday, 24th August 2019, in aid of Ability West. This event was organised by a voluntary sub-committee of club members. The event and associated raffle raised €11,797 which is being used towards a major re-development of one of our group homes in Salthill. The proceeds were recently presented to us by representatives from the organising sub-committee. The organising sub-committee had an opportunity to view the development works underway at this service and also the new minibus which was substantially funded from the proceeds of the 2018 golf event. The Chief Executive of Ability West, Breda Crehan-Roche, gratefully acknowledged the ongoing support of Galway Golf Club and its members, who have shown time and time again their generosity towards the children and adults with intellectual disability supported by us.
