Ability West Officially Opened its Mountbellew Resource Centre

We are delighted to announce that our Mountbellew Resource Centre, was officially opened on Friday last, 20th July 2012.  This adult day and respite service was officially opened by the Chairman of Ability West, Páraic Lawless, and two adults who avail of the respite service, Denise McHugh and Patrick Lee.  The centre was also blessed by local Parish Priest, Fr. Padraig O’Connor.
 
The Mountbellew Resource Centre currently operates adult day programmes for 15 individuals and provides respite to approximately 25 adults with an intellectual disability.  Ability West, in line with its Vision and Strategic Plan, provides services and supports to children and adults with an intellectual disability, to enable them to realise their dreams and ambitions and take their rightful place in society.  Services are provided as close as is possible to the individual’s community and natural supports.
