Connacht Clan Table Quiz in aid of Ability West Raises over €2,000

The rain certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits on Thursday March 9th as the Connacht Clan (Connacht Rugby Official Supporters Club) held their annual Table Quiz in Murty Rabbitts on Forster Street in aid of Ability West who were there chosen charity for this year’s event. The action kicked off at 6pm with a live outside broadcast of “Over the Line” sports show with John Mulligan on Galway Bay FM. Then it was down to business from 8.30pm with a full house of teams who relished the chance to demonstrate their general knowledge skills , support a great cause and be in with a chance of winning one of the fabulous spot prizes on offer which were kindly donated by local businesses.

Ability West is very grateful to all those who came out to take part and donate on the night and to the Connacht Clan Supporters Club for making us their chosen charity at this year’s table quiz and raffle. We would also like to thank Galway Bay FM, The Galway Independent , Flirt FM and the Connacht Clan for their promotion of this event over the last few weeks. I would also like to extend our thanks and appreciation to all those who kindly provided spot prizes for the raffle: Connacht Rugby, Murty Rabbitts, Connacht Clan, The Galleon Restaurant, Kinetica Energy, Good4U, Quiff Hair Studio, Capone’s Restaurant, Colm’s Pharmacy and Salthill Pharmacy, Spar Mainguard Street and Thomas Woodberry’s.

All proceeds raised from the raffle and table quiz will be used towards our ongoing capital programme which includes new builds, extensions and refurbishments of existing buildings, the purchase of specialised equipment and buses/minibuses.
